We are recruiting MS and PhD students in Biosecurity and Plant Pathology

We are actively seeking highly motivated individuals to become part of our dynamic research team. We are currently in the process of recruiting students for both the MS and PhD programs within the Institute for Biosecurity and Microbial Forensics (IBMF) and the Department of Plant Pathology at Oklahoma State University. If you possess a genuine interest in contributing to our research endeavors, we encourage you to take the first step by completing the interest form provided here.

Our research encompasses a multifaceted approach, integrating the fields of bioinformatics, molecular biology, and plant pathology. Our primary objective is to pioneer innovative techniques for the identification and characterization of plant pathogens. Additionally, we are deeply committed to unraveling the intricate interactions between plant pathogens and the host microbiome, as well as developing predictive models for crop productivity traits.

By joining our lab, graduate students will have the invaluable opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and accomplished team of scientists, fostering connections across academia, industry, and government sectors. Our research also spans a wide spectrum of crops, allowing students to gain experience with various agricultural species. These positions are slated to commence in the Summer of 2024 and will remain open until we find the most suitable candidates.

For eligible candidates, we are pleased to offer research assistantships that include a competitive stipend, tuition waiver, and health insurance coverage. This comprehensive support is designed to facilitate your academic and research journey, ensuring a successful and rewarding experience in our lab.
